Smoke barriers are an integral part of natural smoke and heat ventilation systems. Their main function is to divide the interior space into smoke sections and direct the movement of smoke during a fire. They form a physical barrier that prevents the uncontrolled spread of smoke and lead it directly to smoke and heat extraction devices. This contributes to reducing the temperature in the building and to improving the conditions for evacuation and intervention by firefighting units. Our SCF smoke barriers are made of non-flammable technical fabric and have a strong, thermally stable construction that guarantees their functionality even in extreme temperatures. The quality and reliability is also confirmed by the EN 12101-1 certification with D120 classification, which guarantees the barrier’s resistance to 120 minutes of direct exposure to hot combustion fumes.
